What You’ll Learn in The Accelerator
The Accelerator is broken out into deliverables per month to get you learning consistently! You will always have the next month’s module unlocked so you may go at your own pace.
Module 1: The Basics
- Gain a crystal-clear understanding of chat-based AI vs. API-driven AI, and learn which approach fits your workflow.
- Explore the best large language models (LLMs) for fiction writing.
- Learn about "wrappers", user-friendly interfaces that make working with LLMs simpler and more effective.
- Get hands-on experience with Plotdrive, our AI writing partner, and Raptor Write, our free, custom-built tool that revolutionizes AI-assisted writing.
Module 2: Getting to Know the Easy Peasy Book Machine (EPBM)
- Meet your new co-writer! The EPBM helps you turn a story idea into a fully drafted book step by step.
- Master crafting perfect prompts and combining EPBM components for natural, engaging drafts.
- Validate and refine AI-generated content so it aligns with your unique creative vision.
Module 3: Completing an Entire Writing Project
- Walk through every stage of completing a project — from troubleshooting inconsistencies to refining drafts and preparing your work for publication.
- Learn when and how to edit manually while leveraging the speed and creativity of AI.
- By the end of this section, you'll have a completed project: a short story, novel outline, or even a full-length book!
Module 4: Sequencing Your Writing Workflow
- Discover how structured sequences of prompts can automate your book-writing process.
- Create cohesive narratives by leveraging sequencing strategies tailored to your style—whether highly structured or discovery-based.
- Unlock workflows that take you from rough draft to polished manuscript faster than ever before.
On Day 15 of the 3rd month from when you sign up (July 15, 2025 for a May 2025 cohort), the rest of the Mastermind opens up to you. We have built modules to make mastering skills a breeze, but you also get all of the bleeding edge, live, “madness of EAW” type sessions too!

Module 5: Write a second book
- Time to learn another method or stick with the EPBM if that was your jam. We have the pantser’s delight PEZ method, the “gladiator” method, and more!
- This module will help you see there is not a perfect way to write with AI, just the way that’s perfect for you
Module 6: Editing with AI
- We have these manuscripts all done, now what? Learn the limitations and strengths of using LLMs to help you edit.
- Find out about specific language and passes you can do with your prompting, even unique techniques depending on the model.
- Also, learn how to edit out the worst writing sins the LLMs commit.
Module 7: AI as Your Publishing Assistant
- Story bibles, genre analysis, and business planning, oh my! LLMs were designed to be the ultimate office worker assistant.
- Learn how to feed data and information into the LLM and have it become your business coach, your story continuity agent, and more.
- Many tools are even free at the time of this writing (Google LM Notebook, for example) and new capabilities hit this area every quarter.
Module 8: Book Covers and Marketing (AI Art)
- We’ve come a long way from six fingers on one hand! This module gives you the latest and best in AI Art tools to make book covers and marketing.
- We routinely go over the major LLMs, and specialized tools like Ideogram and Canva.
Module 9: AI Audio/Video (AI music, video, audio)
- This is one area where AI is still in early stages, so it’s the perfect time to dive in! Learning new technology from the infancy makes you a stronger user as the tools get better and better.
- Sora, Suno, Descript, Runway, and more. Don’t forget audio books like Spoken.press, ElevenLabs, Google Voices, etc. We break it all down and help you figure out what’s best for your publishing empire.
Module 10: Writing a Series with AI
- Sure, many people can write a book with AI, but can you write 3 books with AI in a shared world? What about across one plot arc? How do you make it keep the details straight?
- What tools do you need to draft an entire series or story world of books with your favorite LLM?
- This module builds on skills learned in modules 5, 6, and 7.
Module 11: Fine Tunes
- The underrated and most powerful skill to make an LLM write like you! Tired of phrases and a writing style you would never pen? A fine tune is for you. But you can’t just jump here, nope. You need to know how YOU like to prompt.
- From there, we can help you use Dinotrainer and create a fine tune for models from OpenAI, Mistral, and Google.
Module 12 - Agents (N8N)
- One click, get a book. One click, get 50 marketing images. One click, write and send a newsletter. You get the idea. Your year of AI education ends with the capstone of agents, true agents not a ChatGPT “GPT” pretender.
- The N8N framework can create files, send emails, query LLMs, and actually DO work. All one workflow at a time. This nascent era of true automation is just beginning, you don’t want to wait.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I just jump to the Mastermind? I already know ________.
No. If you were once a paid member of the Mastermind, you may email [email protected] and come back at your old rate. It will not include complimentary Plotdrive, but will include a credit on yourfirstdraft.ai once it’s up. This rule goes even for Sam Altman.
Can I just do X months?
Yes. You can go month to month. You can buy 6 months at a time, or even a year! We have full confidence in our greater than 80% retention rate month over month that we know how to teach authors how to thrive with AI as part of their publishing career. And we offer a 30 day refund policy.
Why aren’t all 12 modules unlocked at once? I paid for a year.
Patience, grasshopper. We’ve taught thousands of authors at this point and we have learned, it doesn’t work well to throw everyone into the deep end.
We use specialized vocabulary in the FFA (kitbash, the crease, components, story dossier, etc) so we all know what we are talking about in the world of AI writing. Take the time to get to know Lynn and Alyssa, watch the Youtube channel if you’re ready for advanced things, and know that when the Mastermind opens up, you won’t be overwhelmed. The whole Mastermind is hundreds of classes if you include the Archives.
Can this help me with Sudowrite, Novelcrafter, or ________?
We do not teach those tools. We stick to tools that allow you to 100% control the prompt and believe in authors accessing at the API level. You’ll learn all about this in Module 1. We encourage you to look for classes offered by those softwares to learn how best to use them.
Here at the FFA we teach Openrouter, direct access to LLMs (OpenAI, Claude, Mistral, Google, etc), Plotdrive, Raptorwrite, Rexy, Typing Mind, and N8N. We do also offer other tools as well, but it’s important to us that a new tool grants as much control as possible to the user.
Can I really write a book with AI in just 90 days?
We do it in less than 9 hours all the time. Yes, yes you can. And this program is designed for the author who is busy and only has a few hours per week or even month to dedicate to AI education. See you in lab!
